We offer several ticket options. Finding the right one for you, depends on how often and how far you travel.

Tourists

If you travel as a tourist in Aarhus or Central Denmark Region, we recommend you the ticket types below.

Tourist ticket (24, 48 and 72 hours)

If you are here for a short period and plan to get around a lot by bus, we recommend our Tourist ticket. 

The Tourist ticket offers unlimited travel with bus, Letbanen or Lemvigbanen in the city of Aarhus or all of Central Denmark Region (Midttrafik) for 24, 48 or 72 hours - for a fixed price.

AarhusCARD

With an AarhusCARD you get free admission to more than 20 museums, attractions and activities in and around Aarhus. 

Your AarhusCARD is automatically activated the first time you use it as your ticket at an attraction. Remember to write the date on the back of the card the first day you use it. You have to do it before you travel with the bus or Letbanen or else the card is not valid. 

The card is valid on all Midttrafik buses in Central Denmark Region (including night buses) and Letbanen. It also applies in the airport bus to Aarhus and Billund Airport and Lemvigbanen.

NB!
The card is not valid in other trains, travels with Flexbus and travels in and out of Central Denmark Region (except for the airport bus to Billund Airport).

The card is valid for 24, 48, 72 hours or 5 days.

AttractionPASS

With an AttractionPASS you get free admission to more than 40 museums, attractions and activities in Central Denmark Region. With the card, you get discounts on shopping and travel easily by the convenient network of public transport. As a cardholder you get free admission to the city’s public swimming baths and skating rinks.

Your AttractionPASS is automatically activated the first time you use it as your ticket at an attraction or on a bus. Remember to write the date on the back of the card the first day you use it. You have to do it before you travel with the bus or Letbanen or else the card is not valid. 

The card is valid on Midttrafik buses (including night buses) and Letbanen. It also applies in the airport bus to Billund Airport and Lemvigbanen. You can bring two children under 12 in the bus.

Multi trip ticket (10 charges)

A multi trip ticket in Midttrafik app is cheaper than a single ticket, and it can be the best ticket if you plan to travel a few times with bus, Letbanen or Lemvigbanen.

You can only buy a multi trip ticket in Midttrafik app

Single ticket

Single tickets are the most expensive option per ride. It can however be a good option if you only travel a few times while you are here.

You can buy a single ticket with cash in the bus, in Midttrafik app or as a print out ticket

You can also buy a single ticket in the ticket machine (rejsekort ticket machine) at one of Letbanen's stations. You can only pay with card - not with cash.

Single tickets to the bus, Letbanen and Lemvigbanen are not valid in trains operated by DSB or Arriva. However, if you buy a single ticket to the train from DSB or Arriva, the ticket is also valid in Midttrafik’s buses, Letbanen and Lemvigbanen.

Combi ticket to Djurs Sommerland, LEGOLAND®, Kattegatcentret or Randers Regnskov

If you are going to visit Djurs Sommerland, LEGOLAND®, Kattegatcentret or Randers Regnskov, you can buy a combi ticket with transport and entry in one ticket.

Where can you buy a combi ticket? 
You can buy the ticket in Midttrafik app or as a print out ticket.

Tickets bought in Midttrafik app will be issued to the user making the purchase and can only be displayed/used on the device it was purchased.

You cannot buy combi tickets at the ticket sales, in the bus or at Letbanen's stations.

Season pass

A season pass is the cheapest ticket if you often travel on the same distance. During a fixed period, you can travel as much as you like on a distance you choose.

You can use your season pass in Midttrafik’s buses, Letbanen and Lemvigbanen as well as trains operated by DSB and Arriva.

It is your choice whether you buy your season pass in Midttrafik app or on rejsekort.dk

Rejsekort

Rejsekort is an electronic ticketing system for travelling by bus, Letbanen and train.

Rejsekort is typically the cheapest ticket unless you often travel on the same distance. If so, a season pass is a good option.

Ungdomskort

If you are 16-19 years old, a student on a youth education programme or a student on a higher education programme, you can get a public transportation pass called ‘Ungdomskort’.
