Guide card and ID card from the Danish Association of the Blind
The blind and visually impaired with a valid ID card from the Danish Association of the Blind (Dansk Blindesamfund) and their guide can each travel on a child’s ticket (single trip ticket, excess fare, one-day ticket, airport buses and 24, 48 and 72-hour tickets). The discount is not available when purchasing a transit ticket.
The same rules apply to persons with impaired mobility and mentally handicapped persons with a valid ID card (guide card) issued by the user service at Disabled People’s Organisations Denmark (DPOD).
Guide dogs and service dogs may be taken on board free of charge. This also applies to dogs that are being trained and which are wearing a yellow vest marked with a butterfly and ‘Dansk Blindesamfund’ (Danish Association of the Blind).

Rejsekort app and Basiskort discount
If you are disabled, blind or visually impaired, you can purchase a Basiskort Personal with the customer type ‘Disabled Person’. This allows you to travel at half the normal price for adults.

City of Aarhus
In the City of Aarhus, it is possible to buy a particularly cheap season ticket for people who are blind or severely visually impaired.

Wheelchairs and other mobility aids (referred to as wheelchairs in the following) may be carried free of charge on city buses, X Buses and Letbanen providing they do not exceed the maximum permitted dimensions and that there is sufficient space available. The driver’s decision on whether there is adequate space is final.

X Buses
Wheelchairs can be taken on the vast majority of bus departures, and the bus will be equipped with a lift. If you want to be sure of a place, please contact the bus company listed in the timetable for your departure. The mechanical lift is operated by the driver.
Wheelchair size: Length: max. 120 cm, width: max. 70 cm, weight: max. 300 kg (incl. wheelchair user).
The wheelchair must be secured.
There is usually space for one wheelchair on a bus.

Letbanen
On Letbanen, wheelchair users must be self-reliant, for example by being accompanied by a helper.
Wheelchair size: Length: max. 140 cm, width: max. 70 cm, weight: max. 300 kg (incl. wheelchair user).
The wheelchair must be positioned in the flex area so that the user is sitting with their back facing the direction of travel. The wheelchair brakes must be locked. The wheelchair does not have to be secured.
There is space for max. four wheelchairs on Letbanen.
