Pets

Small dogs, cats and other pets can be taken on board all buses and Letbanen free of charge if they are placed in a bag or similar on your lap, and providing they remain in the bag for the duration of the journey.

City buses

Dogs which are too large for a bag are not permitted on city buses.

Other buses

Dogs which are too large for a bag can be taken on board other buses for the price of a child’s ticket. Dogs must always be kept on a short leash and must not bother other passengers or foul the bus. Pets must not sit on the seats. The driver can refuse to allow a pet to be taken on board the bus if the driver decides that it may inconvenience other passengers.

Letbanen

Dogs which are too large for a bag can be taken on board for the price of a child’s ticket. However, dogs may not be taken on Letbanen between Skolebakken and Universitetshospitalet in the rush hour (07:00-09:00 and 15:00-17:00 on weekdays). Dogs must always be kept on a short leash and must not bother other passengers or foul Letbanen. Pets must not sit on the seats. 

Guide dogs/service dogs

Guide dogs equipped with the ‘Man with the white stick’ sign can be taken free of charge on all buses. This also includes service dogs wearing an ID vest. The owner must be able to show a special ID card.
